WHO ARE WE? | QUI SOMMES NOUS?

On the international level, the IAMH is a network of thousands of contacts with museums around the world. With the help of international correspondents located on the five continents, world congresses are held every two years, each time on a specific theme relevant to history museums: History museums and history in museums (Paris, 1992); What perspective for history museums in Europe (Paris, 1994) ; What future for history museums (Bonn, 1996); Museums and politics (Quebec, 1998) ; No limits to history ? (Luxembourg, 2000) ; Museums , media and tourist attraction (Lahti, 2002). The next congress will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil in march 2004 and will deal with the new global cultural issues : How to organise a multi-centred world ?
